The Manager
⚔
The woman running Ember's duelist career with a rather hands-on and personal approach. She's uninhibited with her sadism and prone to breaking out in laughter.
The only thing that seems to excite her more than orchestrating violence on stream is watching films of cybernetic installation surgery— she's quite the metal fetishist.

Although she enrolled Ember out of personal interest in her cybernetics, Ember's performance on the strip proved that she was worth putting more time— and attention— into.
Now, she pushes Ember for spectacular performance in the leauge, a trajectory that can only end with her prized fighter's death in the ring.

- Fat, although she spends the money needed for a well-tailored suit
- Rarely seen without her recording drones, never seen without her pervert glasses*.

The initial design intent here was to make a woman who visually fits the trope of a sleazy buisnessman who perhaps dabbles in organized crime. She is fully aware that this is how she comes off, and chooses to lean into it.
Two key influences in her characterization and role are 19th century tech mogul and former governor of California, Leland Stanford, who, among other things, was responsible for several major innovations in raising racehorses, and Kazuya Hyodo from Kaiji, who I will abstain from elaborating on further until the game is complete.
