With the dawn of the 21st century came the Great Crash — a worldwide data catastrophe that wiped entire cities off the map, and swallowed the Internet whole. Three years later, the Chicago post-Crash zone is a carefully monitored wasteland, patrolled by those who seek to contain it.

Rachel is a data scientist, running experiments for her thesis. Lori is a fixer, just trying to make ends meet.

This is the story of their failure.
